A badly lit residence in Brussels
The Résidence Parc des Étoiles in Brussels had a poorly lit car park and cellars. In addition, the residence’s communal areas – corridors, halls and staircases – needed constant lighting to ensure the comfort and safety of residents.
The existing lighting, scattered throughout the residence, was technically outdated and energy-consuming, representing a major expense for the co-owners. The co-owners therefore asked Rodalight to completely rethink the lighting system and provide a modern, reliable and cost-effective solution.
Diagnosis of existing installations
Examination of the luminaires revealed that the majority of hermetically sealed luminaires fitted with double fluorescent tubes were :
- Partially or totally non-hermetic, allowing moisture and dust to pass through.
- Yellowed and altered by time and wear.
- Equipped with tubes that have been missing or not replaced for a long time.
These anomalies resulted in inadequate lighting, limited visual comfort and a safety risk for residents.

Rodalight solution: 100% hermetically sealed LEDs
To meet the needs of the residence, Rodalight proposed a complete replacement of the old luminaires with hermetically sealed luminaires equipped with integrated 41 W, 4800 lumen LEDs.

A total of 218 existing appliances were replaced:
- Underground car park and cellars: fluorescent tubes replaced by hermetically sealed LEDs.
- Halls, corridors and staircases: existing ceiling lights replaced to provide uniform, constant lighting.
